Terms of Service

By accessing or using HoopSlot, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use & Safety Policy. If you use HoopSlot for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

Do not use HoopSlot if you cannot legally agree to these Terms. A parent or guardian is responsible for providing any permission required for a minor to use HoopSlot.

HoopSlot provides software that helps independent basketball trainers organize their businesses and communicate with athletes and families. Features may include scheduling, athlete records, packages, payment-status tracking, group training, messages, and Film Room content.

HoopSlot is not a party to services arranged between a trainer and an athlete or family unless HoopSlot expressly states otherwise for a particular service.

Trainers who use HoopSlot operate independently. A trainer is not employed, supervised, certified, or background-checked by HoopSlot merely because the trainer uses the platform. HoopSlot does not guarantee any trainer's qualifications, conduct, safety, availability, or training results.

Athletes and families are responsible for evaluating trainers and deciding whether to purchase or participate in trainer services.

Trainers are responsible for their coaching services, professional conduct, business practices, required licenses or insurance, and compliance with applicable laws. Trainers must obtain appropriate permission before collecting, uploading, or sharing athlete information and content.

Communications involving minors must have an appropriate basketball, training, scheduling, team, payment, or administrative purpose. Adults must not use HoopSlot to exploit a trainer-athlete relationship, pursue inappropriate contact, or encourage a minor to conceal communications from a parent or guardian.

HoopSlot does not represent that it proactively or continuously monitors every communication. Users should report suspected misuse promptly.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a minor's use of HoopSlot, keeping account and relationship information accurate, and making decisions about the minor's trainer and participation. They should review communications and shared content available through their connected account.

You must use HoopSlot lawfully and follow our Acceptable Use & Safety Policy. Prohibited conduct includes abuse, harassment, exploitation, fraud, unauthorized access, unlawful activity, and misuse of athlete information, images, video, or communications.

Email us using the Report a Safety Concern action if you believe HoopSlot is being used in a way that threatens a user or violates our safety rules. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in an initial report.

Email is not an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or appropriate authorities.

Independent trainers set their own service descriptions, prices, payment methods, cancellation terms, and refund practices. HoopSlot may help trainers organize packages, balances, or payment status, but the trainer remains responsible for their services and agreements with athletes and families.

Separate fees may apply to a trainer's HoopSlot subscription. Third-party payment providers may apply their own terms and privacy practices.

You retain ownership of content you submit, including messages, notes, images, and video. You give HoopSlot a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, and provide the services and the sharing choices you select.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and share the content, especially content involving minors or other people.

Keep account credentials confidential, provide accurate information, and notify HoopSlot if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

HoopSlot may restrict functionality, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate a report, address nonpayment, comply with law, or enforce these Terms and related policies. Applicable law may require additional notice or rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HoopSlot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, training outcomes, trainer performance, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HoopSlot and its owners, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the services.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited. Your mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HoopSlot and its owners, officers, and employees from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of HoopSlot, your violation of these Terms, your trainer services, or content you submit without required rights or permissions.

HoopSlot may change features or these Terms as the service develops. When appropriate, we will update the effective date and provide notice of material changes. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective may be subject to additional acceptance where required.

The laws applicable to these Terms may depend on where you live and the services at issue. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights or protections available under applicable law.
